The Indian Fertility Society has launched a landmark pilot project “SANJIVINI “ for uplifting women’s health in India in 6 states to begin with: Kashmir, Gujarat, Haryana, Maharashtra, Bihar, Tamilnadu. The camp was held by Our IFS Gujarat state team simultaneously with launching of project “Sanjivini” from Delhi by our IFS National president Prof (col) Dr Pankaj Talwar at the same time in all six states.
In Gujarat first camp of Sanjivini was held on 25th July 2024 “The world IVF Day” at PHC Fariyadka,Taluka Ghogha District Bhavnagar. The team was led by IFS Gujarat chapter secretary Dr Hitendra Somani was Joined by National Advisor and Patron Dr Jayesh Amin,Joint Secretary Gujarat chapter Dr Sanjay Desai, Treasurer Dr Nisarg Dharia and executive Dr Jwal Banker and others.
The first camp was inaugurated by CDHO Dr Chandramani Kumar, RCHO Dr Kokila Solanki, Gujrat IFS secretary Dr Hitendra Somani and prof and head Gyne dept & ART committee Dr Kanaklatta and Taluka panchayat mantri, the PHC was full with patients and health care workers, Asha workers and Anganwadi staff and doctors from Government dispensaries and medical college, in addition 27 infertile couples from distant remote areas attended this IFS Sanjivini camp.
The Secretary IFS Gujarat chapter Dr Hitendra Somani released and handed over guidelines of Indian ART & Surrogacy Act 2021 to Chief District health officer and RCHO and prof & head Gynac dept.
After release of patient awareness Flip Charts and Videos in Gujarati language, patient awareness session was held at PHC Fariyadka, all patients were seen, mostly patients were suffering from infertility duration of 5 to 15 years , case histories were taken they were given proper guidance, awareness,consultation and referral by specialist doctors of IFS Gujarat, no patient was left without consultation, snacks and cold drinks were served to all patients.
The next camp of IFS “Sanjivini” will be held at small village of Rajkot district on 8th August 2024.
