About Indian Fertility Society

Established in 2005, the Indian Fertility Society was founded with a vision to create a dynamic platform for professionals engaged in reproductive medicine, infertility, embryology, and allied sciences to exchange knowledge, foster collaboration, and stay abreast of the rapidly evolving advances in the field. What began as a small group of 20 visionary founding members has today grown into India’s largest and most influential fertility society, representing more than 5,200 life members across 29 state chapters.

Over the past two decades, IFS has emerged as a leading force in advancing excellence in fertility care through education, research, training, advocacy, and professional development. The Society has played a pivotal role in nurturing young clinicians, embryologists, scientists, and researchers by providing opportunities for mentorship, skill enhancement, networking, and academic growth.

IFS is committed to promoting evidence-based clinical practice, ethical reproductive healthcare, and innovation in assisted reproductive technologies. Through national conferences, workshops, fellowship programs, certification courses, multicentric research initiatives, publications, and digital learning platforms, the Society continually strives to elevate standards of fertility care across the country.

Recognizing that reproductive medicine transcends geographical boundaries, IFS has established strong collaborations with leading international organizations including American Society for Reproductive Medicine, European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, British Fertility Society, and Asia Pacific Initiative on Reproduction, fostering global exchange of knowledge, research, and best practices. As infertility continues to emerge as a significant public health concern, IFS remains dedicated to shaping the future of reproductive healthcare in India through scientific excellence, professional empowerment, collaborative learning, and patient-centered care. With a strong national presence and growing international engagement, the Society is uniquely positioned to lead the next era of innovation and progress in fertility medicine.

Vision: To be the leading professional organization advancing reproductive medicine, fertility care, research, education, and advocacy for the benefit of patients and society.

Mission: To promote excellence in fertility care through education, research, innovation, ethical practice, professional development, and national and international collaboration, while improving access to high-quality reproductive healthcare for all.

The Fertivision 2013 had an embryology course which IFS conducted along with ESHRE. Besides this, country wide workshops on IUI have been organized by the society. The society is aso carrying on multicentric research. Special interest groups have been formed on various aspects of infertility to concentrate efforts on research in this field. IFS along with its chapters has organized more than 30 CME’s and training programs nationwide.
